The Dance Academy of Cedar Rapids is committed to providing positive, knowledgeable, challenging and cutting edge dance, while upholding the artistic traditions deeply ingrained in our own lives. It is vital that we live up to our Mission Statement: To guide, educate, and inspire students who enter our doors in the highest standards of dance education.

What does that mean to your child? That we will provide the best dance education possible, that we will do our best for each and every child. Our faculty members work together to create thinking, as well as technical dancers. But what makes our faculty so special and different? They uphold the high standards, and they truly care about dance education.

Know that we love to teach. Know we believe this is our mission in life. Know we will do our very best for each and every dancer.

Taylor started dancing at the age of four right here in Cedar Rapids. She grew up being taught many forms of dance by many of the teachers here at DACR. She went on to dance on her high school dance team, serving as captain for two years. Once she graduated she continued to search out ways to keep dance in her life. She became the coach of an area high school for a few years before joining the staff here at DACR. She enjoys being able to share her love of dance with her students, while instilling the same confidence and passion that her teachers instilled in her.
